Wow.. Talk about a hiatus

Friday August 3rd, 2007

Ok ok I know.. It has been effin long as heck. My excuse? Been way way too hella busy. Why am I getting back to it now? Partly theres a fatty scholarship out there going to someone who can pull of a tight blog. i.e. me.. It is the exactly kick in the butt that I need to get back into blogging and getting people back here..

Now I do not know where to start with this blog again and I have so much to ramble about. I will track to back track to events I did a few months prior. I couple red carpets, concerts and you know the usual.. for those who used to read this thing.

I guess the main focus of this comeback post will have to do with school I suppose. So I basically got accepted to every school I applied to besides USC. USC was really where I wanted to go to, but I would have had to take a handful of more classes and I am ready for a major change. The last couple of semesters I have gotten 4.0 and straight A's averaging about 17 units per. So yeah.. I decided to go to UCLA. I was hella surprised when I received the email saying I was accepted. It hit me for a split second, the excitement that is, but I was deflated after I remember I had three more classes to finish. If I kept the schedule I had in the Spring, with 24 units, I would not have to take them in the summer. I am saying this now as I have only one more week left and will be passing the classes. Anyways.. Let's get into the meat of this post... Orientation... Oh sidenote.. I didn't get parking.. BOO.. That is going to change my preference of where to live.

I had orientation last Friday on the 3rd of August. It began at 7:45am to 9pm, I was looking forward to it and not at the same time. I wanted to make sure all my questions were answered along with picking out my classes. I was not a fan of the early morning especially driving into the city with all the traffic. If I planned better, I would have had a hotel at a pretty good discount weeks in advance but when you use the family and friends rate, you need to plan at least 3 weeks in advance. That I did not do.

That night I was up until 2am and woke up at 5:30am and headed my way on over there. The traffic wasn't too bad until I hit the 10. It was not horrible since I was just loving the drive and the music all together. Got into Westwood and had to figure out where I was suppose to park. There was absolutely no signs pointing to parking anywhere!! I would think it be planned a little bit better but whatever. No biggie parking, hopping out of the car and asking around. I would have been pissed if I got a parking ticket.. parking tickets in Los Angles as far as I know run like 45 bucks. That is crazy!!

Eventually found the where I had to park and took another 30 mins to find Royce Hall. I been there for a Jethro Tull concert but man its a lot different being dead center on campus and being all intimated by all the awesome buildings. I get to the check in and there I am sweating my ass off. I can feel the sweat bead off the back of my neck onto my back. It was bad.. this is what i get for wearing a blazer and shirt. I mean it was still pretty cold out but all that walking does not result in a dry Anh.

There I had to walk to another building that I forgot the name to, Kerchoff to pick up my Bruin card. A few weeks ago I sent in the photo to have my card made but the resolution of the photo was too small. This is what I get for taking the photo myself and having someone at Ritz camera handle it and print it out. When that was rejected, I had to go back and make some adjustments and the chick behind the counter was being a dick on how I had to pay 15 bucks for the print. First of all they didn't take the photo, second I handle it myself and you're not going to charge me 15 bucks for something you normally charge 24 cents for a 4x6. I had some drama with the Bruin card again, something about not sending in my terms and conditions but I guess they figured it out..

Headed off to some other place.. Man I need to learn the names of the places.. sat and listened to orientation.. Basically dont cheat.. drink much.. and some other stuff. Met up with my student adviser. Handled some stuff.. Eat.. Got like 8 bucks on the Bruincard.. Had a pretty bomb salad.. The chick in front of me acted like the cooks were stupid. She told them like no cheese or something but they were working on my salad and she repeated to them. Unno. Thats what gets people to spit in your food. Ate.. Met the other people in my major and orientation. Headed off to some other building. Killed like 3 hours in there before I talked to my adviser. Missed some workshops.. Dont remember much.. Headed to dinner in one of the halls. I was on my diet.. well lifestyle change of being better, so had a salad and chicken soup.. Left to register for classes in the very nice orientation person's summer apartment. So nice! I kinda want to be an advisor. Signed up for 2 Philosophy classes and an Accounting course. Thats about it and left and went home. Waited with this chick for her ride. Im way too nice..

San Diego Street Scene Day One

August 4th, 2006

San Diego Street Scene.. I missed out on the event last year and wanted to see what it is all about.. The drive down wasn't too bad since I wasn't the one driving. The parking wasn't a big deal either. When I entered into the festival area around the perimeter of the Qualcomm Stadium, Yellowcard was on stage and they are some pretty good performers. I say that's saying a lot since I was about 1000 feet away from the stage or more. It was far but the music was loud enough to hear. After checking them out a little and made my way to the other main stage to see who was on.

The hike to the other side was crazy far. The first stage from he Captain Morgan stage, where Yellowcard was performing, was the Inferno stage. Every so often blast of fire would shoot into the air. You could feel the heat from quite a distance from the stage. On that stage were random dancing chicks with hula hoops with black lights illuminating the
paint they had on them.

There was a Captain Morgan tent with people leaving it with pirate foam hats. I wanted to check it out but my driver was 21. Oh well.

The place didn't really look that crowded at all but then again I think this is the second year they had it at this larger venue.

Slightly Stoopid, which sounded like Sublime were at the other main stage. I checked them out a little and waited for Wu-Tang. As I went to the front of the pit area and waited for Wu-Tang to start. The stage was pretty damn high. I think it was about 7 feet up and kinda would be hard to shoot if someone on stage isn't at the edge. That sucked. I am not a fan of Wu-Tang, but I knew I was going to be leaving Rock the Bells early, so I figure to get my shots now.

After shooting the first couple songs, I went back to the Yellowcard stage to see AFI. The whole time I was at the Wu-Tang Clan stage, it stated that AFI was getting on at at 10:46. That time was 30 minutes early and kinda ran into the Kanye West set time.

The photographers in the pit were getting warned that if the crowd got crazy, that the guards would kick us out. Well let’s hope that doesn’t happen but that the power of the AFI fans. The show started with “Prelude 1221.” Davey Havok came out in all white looking dolled up with fake lashes, pink eye shadow and lots of make up. I knew once I heard the first song I want to see them in an unstressed situation. It’s really hard to enjoy anything when you are worried about getting a shot.

I ran off to the Kanye West stage since he was getting on at 10:45. He had the orchestra set up with I think maybe 7 violinist? I couldn’t see everyone. I was excited to see him but I was whatever’s after he came out. I really wanted to get back to AFI. I hung around a little bit to listen to his songs and left. Listened to AFI a little bit more and left there. I didn’t to deal with people leaving and I had to get back to Rancho for something. Made it back in good time. I missed Snoop Dogg, and few other people on Saturday but I will be stuck at Rock the Bells all day.

Kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep.

Interscope BET Awards Afterparty

June 27th, 2006

Bottomline.. It was at Club 750 or something. It used to be a rave club a few years back called Orion. Place was packed and when I got there, the place was overcapacity and they were not letting other people in. Why we were late? 2 chicks getting ready.. Wow… Seriously.. Waited around for one and a half hours and that was that. So if anyone knows how it was, fill in buddy in. I was told Pharrell was performing or something. I don’t know.. Oh well. Learned my lesson..

Oh had another interesting texting conversation. And if you read the Opening Night post you know who and why.. Yeah.. sucks..

BET Awards Media Day

June 26th, 2006

Nothing much to say really... Arrived at the Shrine Auditorium around 10ish, and checked in, got my picture taken and my badge. I waited for the media room door to open and after standing around for 30 minutes in the dry heat, the door opens. Went in and got my stuff checked and walked through the metal detectors, don’t want a Vibe awards incident again.

I had to double check if I had access to the red carpet tomorrow at actual event but no one knew who I had to talk to. After explaining my story to about 4 people, I was in contact with someone who was in charge of everything but she couldn’t help me. Basically said we will see what happens later or tomorrow.

Sat in the media room for I think nearly two hours and no one even came out to do interviews or to give some photo opts. Looking at the schedule, the only people I would want to do anything with were Ne-yo and Rihanna. I talked it up with some of the other reporters and photographers, but other than that it was just a waiting game. I ended up leaving, and that’s that. Maybe it will be different tomorrow.. Maybe..

I should have stayed but class was calling

Electric Daisy Carnival 2006

June 24th, 2006

I went two years ago and wow it sucked. The venue is kinda dirty and you spend half of your time playing how many water bottles can you kick walking 10 feet. I say about 20 was for me. Yes, its that bad.

I had some trouble receiving my tickets and the power crazed ticket lady didn’t help. Once I received my tickets after midnight, went on into the venue and wow. I visited Sean’s booth, selling his water and it looked nonstop.

Walked around all over the place and the airport hanger with the Drum and Bass was way way too loud.

I checked out the Trance room and saw Christopher Lawrence. He was pretty tight but it’s hard to enjoy the music when you have a 5 pound camera with you. Shot him and waited for Ferry Corsten. He was the last one to DJ for the night until 4am. Fun fun. Shot him and hung around a little bit and left.

Raves!! HURRAY!!

Opening Night 2006

June 23rd, 2006

Opening night at the Hollywood Bowl.. The summer kick off of the season at the bowl.. Hands down I say the best night of the summer.. Last year was awesome and of course this year will be the same.. The special guests this year were the Blue Man Group, Santana, and Andre Watts. Santana and Andre Watts were being inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame..

Getting lost sucks.. I know how to get to the Bowl but I wanted to try a different route, a somewhat faster route. This route, taking the 5 freeway off of the 134, coming in behind Hollywood is usually faster from my past experience. None of which I experienced on my own. I took this route and ended up pretty back passing the where I was suppose to go and coming back around. I did noticed the Quioxte Studios, the one where that one chick from The Hills works at or whatever.. How nice...

After hitting the 110 to get back onto the 101.. Exited Santa Monica, and noticed my first, actually my first and second glimpses of Trannys in Hollywood.. I’ve gone up and down Sunset in West Hollywood and never saw any, but I was in NoHo and they were out tonight!

I went along my way to the bowl.. There is something about the streets in Hollywood. It’s totally friggin opposite.. I believe that if you’re not a local, its really hard to figure directions of streets compared to the way the freeway moves.. Again got lost, and eventually figured my way there exiting Highland and coming around the bowl.. I went into my parking lot place where my parking pass was. Parked and you gotta love the stacked parking. Pretty much you are on someone’s ass, don’t try leaving early and don’t try leaving ASAP after the event is over. I am not sure but I think the Bowl seats 40,000 people so figure that in cars and it’s a lot...

Headed off my way to the West Gate check-in, the red carpet stuff was already done.. I wonder who the special guests are for tonight.. Soon I will find out and I hope I didn’t miss the chance to shoot someone.. I picked up my tickets and tried to get another one since there was another with us but it was a sold out night..

I went into the place to check out our seats and guess what.. There were people in our seats.. They were friggin box seats. This would be the closest I’ve ever sat at the Bowl and kinda freaking out.. These box seats are where the rich people come early and have dinner. Drink their expensive wines, eat thei cheese and what not.. Back to the problem at hand.. People were sitting in the seats that were on my tickets, the group said they were assigned there but didn’t have tickets.. In my mind I didn’t care because I had someone outside waiting to come in.. Adriana was then seating in another box and I went back to the gate to get Troy.. Maybe I could bring him in and that would be that. I said screw it and spoke to someone where my 2 box seats were traded in for crappy bench seats.. Oh well.. Either 2 awesome seats with one missing buddy or 3 crappy seats with the group together.. And that we settled for that..

John C. Riley was performing and he has a pretty awesome voice.. Andre Watts; James Spader introduced him out and I was kicking myself.. I missed a chance to shoot him awhile back and again this time.. He plays one of my favorite characters on Boston Legal and blah!! Watts is such a awesome piano player... It was amazing to see how fast this guys fingers and hands move.. Gotta find his CD somewhere if he has one and listen to it.. Intermission..

All throughout the first half of the night, I was thinking we should make our way back to the box seats.. We could just sit where were put after we found those people in our seats. However, when i went back to get Troy and tried to find out where our seats were.. I didn’t know where I was and an usher was eye balling me. I had to explain to him the situation and he couldn’t get in his head that our new tickets didn’t match where we were going.. Whatever...

Right when intermission started, we went back to those seats.. The group that was there moved right next to the box where we were moved.. No one was there, asked them and no one sat there. Looks like we found our new seats.. I conversed with the couple sitting next to us. I totally forgot her name but she was a sweetheart, she’s a radio personality for a radio station out in Pasadena. Very fun to talk to.. In the front of my head, I was worried someone would suddenly show up to take over the box.. I tend to stress out about little things like that and what not but oh well... What I found interesting is that she asked where i go to school and she said she knew of the school and said it was a good school... That surprised me because I wouldn’t think it was all that great of a school but hey an outsider knew about it and that works for me...

The group in the box in front of me to the left, one of the ladies had a huge staring problem.. Like one of those snobby glares where you can see that she disapproves of you. I was like what the fuck is this chick looking at? Just sip your wine, enjoy the stars and look at something else.. sheesh..

I couldn’t believe that I was dead in the middle of the Bowl and when I look back, literally there is over 35,000 behind you.. Its amazing.. When you look up, you see the two spotlights shining to a point in the sky.. Just amazing.. Now... While I am sitting here taking everything in.. It brings me back to the last time I am here... Sondheim’s 75th... I didn’t have as great of seats but it didn’t matter because the person I was with was the best part of the whole night... Never mind meeting, talking, and interviewing Josh Groban.. But the person I was with.. WOW.. I still sorta remember it, our funny conversations about where dudes and chicks store their heat, why one side of the bowl seems to cater to the better off audience.. cough left side.. and then the more common man.. hint right side.. Ehh.. Anyways.. I thought I would shoot her a text and that was that.. Kinda sorta wished she was here but oh well.. If anyone knows anything about me.. I hate small talk and blahs!!

The intermission is over.. They had put out this PVC pipe mallets instrument and it was a dead giveaway of Blue Man Group next.. I’ve never seen them perform before and thought it would be cool to see tonight.. Their first act was these three drum barrels with 3 colors of paint and the middle blue man banging on them squirting the colors into the air. Fun and cool to see. Next... a throw and catch of paint balls and marshmallows.. One blue man would throw a paint ball into the air and one would catch it with his mouth.. Then spit out the color on to a canvas.. The other would catch marshmallows and he caught over 20 of them suckers.. It was pretty amazing and none fell on the floor.. Lastly the final PVC pipe mallets thingy with the orchestra and that would cool to listen to. The PVC pipe put out an unique sound..

Now for the final act.. Santana... George Lopez came out to induce Santana but not without cracking some jokes.. Lopez has some shows at the Gibson in December and I wasn’t interested in seeing him since I saw him last year.. After his jokes about immigration and the rich white people in the front.. I kinda wanted to see him and see his new stuff..

Santana was awesome to see.. the first song was sung with Jublient Skyes.. Semi We are the World political song.. The two others I haven’t heard but oh well..

Opening Night always ends with Fireworks.. Gotta love the fireworks.. Especially when its played along the LA Philharmonic.. There was this Phoniex lighted up prop on top of the Bowl..

Now to file out of the place and get to the car.. As I was filing out.. and decided to take another route of the place.. This older dude bumped into me on purpose and said where do you think you’re going. Wow.. I was going to cuss this dude out for being stupid and hella rude.. Seriously.. Why don’t you worry about yourself instead of worrying about others..

Took us about 45 mins for people to siphon out of the parking lot I was in.. and on the way back home.. Hurray..

I love the Hollywood Bowl

Malibu's Most Wanted

February 25th, 2006

Going to keep this post pretty short and sweet since there isnt really much to blog about.. Ill just go and do an outline the happenings of a field trip to Point Dume in Malibu, California.

There much more little things that happen in between the bullets but an outline version is plenty. If you have a chance to get out there, check out Point Dume. It has a tidepool and a pretty awesome hike. When I was there, people were rock climbing by the beach. That would be a fun activity to do while there.

Check out my buddy with Emma in June Seventeen magazine on the surfboard

Beautiful Eyes, Sake, and Kobe Beef.. oh and a view to die for...

Thursday January 19th, 2006

After a crazy first week of school, a sigh of relief is here. Ilene's going back to New York dinner at Yamashiro in Hollywood. I haven’t seen her in ages and every time i see her, she gets more and more beautiful. I don’t know what it is, but in my experience, the girls i know that are half Spanish and half Korean are simply and amazingly beautiful. I think the more random you get in the mixes, the better the results. The top result of the mixture is most definitely the eyes. Oh the damn eyes. Anyways!

Met up at Leslies after picking up her brother. Ilene was meeting us up there and off to Leslie's mother workplace to meet and leave to Hollywood. Of course things are never go accordingly to MY PLANS. I like to say im easy going and which i am, but certain things i just like to follow a schedule. Pretty much off schedule since i was wanting to leave at 6, get to west Covina around 6:30, bullshit around until 7 and then off to Hollywood to make the reservations at 8.

Left at 7 and headed straight to Yamashiro. At this point I was pissed because i said clearly that we were leaving at 6. Almost told at the last second we should just go straight to the restaurant. Again the only good thing is looking at Ilene's eyes. Finally left, and Ilene up front. I just kept it quiet and bumped my Panic! At the Disco. However Leslie wanted Craig David which eventually Ilene did too. I wasn’t going to have it. I caught Leslie trying to push my feelings towards Ilene. Leslie has asked me before to make some copies of the photos i took of Damien Marley. I told her no, just to see how far she was going to go and that was that. Recently i told her not to tell Ilene to ask me since i most likely couldn’t say no to her. So when Leslie was trying to get the Craig David cd put in, she made a comment like, "Cmon Anh, its Ilene... You know.. Ilene." She was sooo leading, and then Ilene got into it, and i was steadfast and just listen along to my cd.

Eventually I did put it in since i listened to all the songs i wanted to hear. The third track of the album, "The Story Goes" entitled Hypnotic got Ilene all into it. Nice.. Now if i ever hear the song, it’s going to remind me of her.

Made good time into the city and got to the restaurant. Which is right by the Magic Castle and around the corner from the Hollywood Bowl. You have to go up this little street and around the corner on a pretty steep incline. After going up and around for what it seems like forever. Arrived right in front of the place to bored looking valet attendants. Handed over the keys and to the left you see all of Los Angeles. I mean ALL of Los Angeles. From the skyline in downtown to Sunset Blvd to Beverly Hills to what I think was the skyline of Universal City. It was just one of the best views I have seen in my life. The wind was blowing out, which usually means not a cloud in sight. It was just amazing!

A little history on this place....
Yamashiro means “Mountain Palace” in Japanese. It was the dream of the Bernheimer brothers in 1911 to build a hilltop mansion 250 feet above Hollywood Boulevard to house their priceless collection of Asian treasures. Hundreds of skilled craftsmen were brought from the Orient to recreate an exact replica of a palace located in the “Yamashiro” mountains near Kyoto, Japan. This dream became a reality in 1914.
Read the rest of the History of Yamashrio

Had a little wait time before we were seated. The bar area faced the overall view of the city, which of course was amazing. We were then seated in the Sunset Room, which I sort of requested. You can kinda see the view in the photo since that picture is pretty much where we were sitting.

Most of the view was right behind me, i could have easily traded sides at the table but i didnt mind. I had the eyes to enjoy instead. Ordered off the bat some calamari and got some Sake. The cheapest one there which was a cold milky, "Nigori." You can feel the milky consistancy and wasnt too strong. Calamari was totally good.

Looking around the menu, especially at the entrees, the items looked sooo good yet really expensive. The number one thing that caught my eye was the kobe beef and there was the kobe beef with grilled prawns. Goodness they were expensive. How expensive? Well Kobe beef can go for 300 bucks a pound. A flippin pound!! The whole thing around it is that the cow is massaged daily and fed beer. However I read that its fed beer to induce an appetite during the summer. Another thing i read is that the cow could be born and raised anywhere but ended up in Kobe, Japan when slaughter, its still technically and legally still Kobe Beef. Well i over looked that and decided upon the Grilled Seafood which included lobster, calamari steak, scallops, shrimp, mahi mahi among other things. The Black Bean Lobster in risotto caught the eye but i wanted something different sorta and fairly less expensive.

Ilene got the Sitting Buddha Sushi roll which actually tasted like a Spring Roll i am accustom to. Other sushi we got were Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, Catipiller roll and a Sushi box which included 20 pieces of typical random sushi. I was gonna share a Sashimi Sampler with Brandon but our waitress Yoshi convinced me to get the Toro Tuna sashimi special. Entrees we ordered, I got the Grill Seafood and Ilene got the Kurobuta Pork Chop. I guess the cooks made it twice and we ended up getting the one they sent out also. Leslie's eventually arrived and Leslie preordered her a Kobe Steak. Thats what im talking about.

Her mom gave me a good chunk of the Kobe beef and man o man. The best flippin meat i have EVER tasted. Kobe Beef is known for the unique marbelization of the fat interweaving with the actual meat. This meat doesnt need nothing. No A1 sauce, just light salt and pepper on the grill to a medium rare perfection. I honestly was chewing each piece about 50 times before swallowing. It tasted that damn good!!! Now this must be how the other half wines and dines.. Oh yes!!

The lobster i had was pretty good. The sushi was ok, decent i say. I wasnt really impress but Yamashiro, even though it has a Japanese history, but it states its cuisine as "CalAsian." Other than that, everything else was wonderful. The ice tea has a really strong flavor.

A lot of conversation, and laughs and fun. I refrained myself from pulling the good ol "Thats what she said," on Ilene. I mean there were some key moments, but i wanted just to hang out and be cool. It was brought up and little Brandon whos only in fifth grade hears me say it but he doesnt understand the context of how to use it. Its totally funny sometimes when he says it and it actually fits the context of the usage. Chitter chatter was fun.

Dessert was even better. We got 4 deserrts.. I picked up some cream puff thingy. It was ok, Leslie and Ilene shared something. I didnt recall. Leslie's mom got a Strawberry Donuts which were really good since it had this strawberry sauce and Brandon got the various sorbet. A great way to end a great night of food, views and conversations. It was even better since i didnt have to pick up the check. I could barely pick up the Kobe Beef tab, i dont think everything combine i could have handled. I dont know the total but i do know how much the tip was, so i could do some math and figure it out.

Afterwards we all hit the bathrooms. The way you have to take to get to the bathroom you go through the Koi Pond dining area. The was vacant since it was not really a busy night and any normal person would pick the view over the view of potentially century living old Koi. What sucks is that there wasnt a walk way to get down to see the Koi upclose but i guess its just part of teh ambience.

I made it back to the table to chat alone with Leslie's mom. She was digressing on the day, and of course i put my witty intelliegent comments and off to the outside. Rigtht in front of the entrance where you see the view of the city is a little Japanese inspired garden. You can see the Pagoda which i guess is the oldest structure in California.

Walked around each side of the garden while Ilene was taking pictures. I told her what I learn from Anthony Bourdain, I told her, "Be a traveler, not a tourist." This goes for everyone who reads this. You should know the difference.

More photos, posing and so on. Our cars came from the valet and off we go. I decided just to cruise around Hollywood and Sunset to show Ilene the sights. I mean she lived in California but its always nice to point out the landmarks and such. Drove around and then off back to Rancho. I was thinking maybe we should hit up a club and just dance the night away. Manny was doing Scribbles in Diamond Bar but i figured nah.

Headed to Leslies to hang a litle, tried to do some computer stuff. Was going to head back to Ilenes but i was tired and we headed over to my house for a little. Did whatever and that was the night. It was a totally fun night and Ilene gets back from school in May. Its going to be a good summer for sure! HAHA...

Kobe is some good shit!! the Beef and the Laker. 81 damn points!!!

Education.. a Multi-Billion industry.. i think..?

Hurray the Fall semester is here again for the ____ time... It’s blank not because I am omitting the number. At this point I have lost track.

Parking is unbelievable. I think its because its the first week where everyone is trying to get classes or act like they are going class. After a few weeks, it dies down. Also permits arent required just of yet. However I think i came to school an hour earlier just to get a spot which is totally ridiculous.

Now the run down of my classes. Mass Communications and Society with Kipp Preble. Oh what made me pick my professors was Rate My Professor.com and of course the requirements i had to fulfill. Rate My Professor is a very very handy tool to get a feel of the class and professor. Anyways.. So Preble, it says that he’s a sexist and if you are a chick, you wont get a good grade. Well since im a dude, ill be fine. The class seems very interesting; however our first project is a media sobriety test. Testing if we are either addicted or just habitual users of media. Of course its self tested and self discipline to actually do it for 72 hours.

OH! If you didn’t know. The measure how interesting and good your class is, depends on how many attractive members of the opposite sex there is. In that case, my Communications class is great. There’s one cute girl who has really cute eyes and lips and her hair looks good done up and down. Anyways. Looking forward to the class, and she walks my way to my next class, so a chatter session will be fun.

Macroeconomics with Kimberly Edgcomb. The class is totally packed but im glad i didn’t need to try to add the class. Can’t really say much about this class. The professor seems really cool, time goes by quick. But i think its because i have a buddy in the class. I found that if I have a buddy in the class, i am prone to chatter and joke around way too much. In classes where I don’t know anyone yet. I just keep my mouth shut. Cute chicks? Just one.

Eastern Philosophy with Dr. Maura O'Neill, that’s with two "L" since she’s Irish, and will fail you if you don’t put 2 "L." Rate My Professor says that you should open your mouth if you can’t back up your statement, because she will make you look stupid. Well no thoughts about this class at all. There this chick who has a staring problem foreals! It annoys yet makes me laugh cuz her and her friend aren’t so hot. Back to the professor, i got the vibe she has had a few run in with the Dean. Found it sort of funny but the class is interesting nonetheless. Covering Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. Oh and Taoism is pronounced Daoism. So that new club in Vegas should really start educating their visitors.

Earth Science with Judy Lowman Wow, i think this is the first class fresh out of High School kids take. I mean i noticed a few football players and fellow wrestling teammates. What’s the thing is that most of these kids are annoying as heck, talking and talking and passing around notes. I mean dude is college and not high school. Grow the fuck up. The class is in a lecture hall with over 100 students. It just gets annoying. As for the professor, total hippie. Extra credit for doing homework on recycled paper, bringing toys for the chimps somewhere, towels for the human society, and picking up trash on field trips. The class isn’t too bad, the passing of the notes is annoying but one of the chicks, who do it, is very cute.

Last class, is Biology with Roseann Cobos. Class is again whatever’s, just another requirement. The professor isnt boring which is good. Her voice actually has some personality with it. What’s funny is when she states things, she shakes her head with a smile. There’s these two big girls who sit behind me and talk talk talk and laugh laugh laugh. I don’t know why but i got looks, smile, and comments when the teacher was talking about calories and ask about how many calories per gram for protein, fat, and carbohydrates (Protein and Carbs is 7 calories per gram and 9 for fat by the way). Who knows..

Now that’s the run down on my classes. I was going to add a Earth Science Lab, Real Estate, and Anthropology classes which would run the classes up to 8. Yeah, that would be over kill in credits and would kill me especially when events start coming again. Its pretty slow at the moment, but come over March, it will be out of hand. So 15 units with 5 classes will be fine for now. I shouldn’t even worry, and take my time and finish up classes. My friend at USC is paying 1000 dollars per unit taking classes he would have taking for 26 dollars per unit. Good luck to me finishing this crap up.

Oh click on the fellow link. I guess there are ways to “hack” a scantron. One of the first ideas was to put chapstick on it.. Interesting.. Well its a good read. If you didnt study for a test and in desire need. Try out a few of these tricks.

Miss America.. eh.... nothing special...

Wednesday January 11th, 2005

Off to Hollywood to shoot the contestants of the Miss America 2006 pageant. Didn't leave until 11ish after picking up Jesse. I figured I could use one of my gift cards from the dolce group to eat at Bella for lunch since it was right down the street.

The drive wasn't bad but had this chick that cut me off going into the carpool lane. Sorry if I limit my speed to 80 which is already fast enough. I ended up going 90 to catch up with her to fuck with her. But I couldn't catch up.

Got into Hollywood a little before 12 and parked in the complex and out of the car around 12:00. The photo opt started at 12 and check in was at 11:30. It was pretty much just the 52 contestants plus 2005's Miss American and the honorary major of Hollywood, Johnny Grant.

When I got to the grand staircase, things looked done. Photographers were just standing around. I tried to find who I was supposed to check in with. Eventually found Brooke after going through some CMT reps and all the security giving me a hard time.

I was surprised things were over since it was barely 12:10 and with my experiences, things never start on time and Brooke herself seemed dumbfounded about it.

I agreed to shoot the 2005 Miss America with the president of the pageant. I was feeling rushed and didn't get to set my camera up right. Photos came out over exposed and whatever. Wasn't no point since I didn't get the whole group.

As I stand there looking around, these girls aren't all that cute. Yes they are tall and fit, but the face wasn't doing much. Lots and lots of cake up. Even Miss California didn't look all that great. I saw 2 other photographers I recognized but didn't have time to say anything.

As I stand around, they all boarded onto the 3 tour buses back to wherever. The pageant is going on in Vegas and maybe I might go and cover it perhaps.

There's something you always see when you come to Hollywood Blvd and hang out in front of the Mann's theatre. You see the costume characters which are usually made up of Comic book characters.

All im going to say is that I know the Superman dude semi personally. Been to his house which was kind of scary and yeah. Its right on Franklin north of Hollywood Blvd where the place was a converted hotel into a apartment complex. Just think about that. Well its more of a motel than a hotel. For those who don’t know what the difference is, a motel has the doors opening outside as opposed to hotels where you are pretty much opening the door to your room inside, like a hall.

Talked to him a bit and headed off to lunch

2 blocks down I think.... on the corner of Las Palmas. Bella Cucina. The place is pretty small and homey. Took a seat down and checked out the menu. The menu wasn't too loaded with items but what they had sounded good. Decided on the beef Carpaccio and spaghetti with seafood in a zesty tomato sauce. The seafood consisted of clams, calamari, mussels and shrimp. The Carpaccio was the normal with raw beef, arugula, and parmesan.

They had this bread that was soooo good! It was accompanied with this tomato salsa type thing and they put a bottle of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Lets just say I could have just the bread and only the bread.

Another good thing about the place is that the hostess waitress... Well they have many different waiters that attend all of the tables. The only waitress there was a little cutie... Very nice complexion. It was nice when she came around and such.

The Carpaccio was good and so was the spaghetti. I didn't get a spoon and asked for parmesan cheese. I would think its the norm.

Noticed a lot of rocker looking types walking around and joked around must have been some rock thing going on.

Got out of the restaurant and headed back. The weather was amazing today.. Totally loved it.

Had to find somewhere at the complex to validate the parking. Its only 2 bucks if you have it validated so yeah. There was this place that used to be in the place of Tonic. Mr. Beard Bake shop or whatever. They sell éclairs, cream puffs and that sort of stuff. Got the original cream puff and that was hella good. Not really sweet. Got my parking stub validated.

Headed back home and that was that. Later on the night I was working on updating my computer. Recently put on Windows XP and to my dismay, the place I put all my music is gone. All 9000 songs are gone. More to come...

Chicks are SUPPOSE to not be on time!!!!

CES... You need a Red Bull or drugs to survive this place..

The biggest electronic trade show in the world is back again. Last year it rained and it totally sucked but it wasn’t too bad since i caught up and hung out with a friend I haven’t seen from Long Beach. This year, the sun is out and the air is cool.

Usually the show starts on Thursday with a press debut type party thing and starts up Friday until Sunday. I wished I came out for those days to see the keynotes and check out the parties. The keynote I wasn’t to see was Bill Gates; I mean it would be awesome to just hear him talk. I found out that Gates had Justin Timberlake come out and show off Microsoft's music service, Urge. Timberlake says it’s a combination of MySpace and iTunes. God help us all.

I came down over Saturday.. so from what I recall i missed the Pre-Show CES show, the #1 gamer Fa1ality party at the House of Blues, Black Eyed Peas Intel party/performance, Monster's Stevie Wonder Awards party, The MTV Killers concert/party, and a Best Buy Party Pure. For sure next year i gotta take in the full experience of this convention. What’s always at the same time is the Adult Video News (AVN) Expo and Awards. Just watch The Girl Next Door and you see the general feeling of the place.

Left Saturday morning... had 2 naps and was already there. Not going to get all into the details. I’ll outline the happenings dealing with CES.

• Headed to Alexia Park where all the audio exhibitors are.

• Took the bus shuttle to the Convention Center

• Headed to the Press room and got my press bag. It was a friggin luggage thing on wheels.

• Gathered the press releases on the electronic companies

• Walked around the floor.

• Watched Johnathan "Fata1ity" Wendel inhumanly beat challengers in Quake 4. They were given 4 minutes to score just 1 kill off him and i saw 3 rounds of players and nothing. He got 22 kills off a dude and his score was -2. An amazing player, kills in the air and what not.

• Hung out at the Google booth.. Tommy Lee comes up to check out a plasma screen with some Google info. I noticed and asked to take a photo. Of course his bodyguard has to answer for him. Dude says from a distance. At this point, i was already 15 feet away, put up my camera and the bodyguard and his buddy start trippen out. I was did you not say from a distance, and of course bodyguards aren’t known for their brains and said that wasn’t a distance. So I am thinking, i should either take it anyways or just be a dick and turn into paparazzi mode. I just decided to just walk away.

• Checked out the Microsoft booth, there new operating system Vista looked amazing. Too bad they stole most of their ideas from Apple's OS system.

That’s about it... OH!! Of course the subject on everyone’s lips was the next gen DVD format. Either Blueray or HD-DVD. I could get into the details of each format but im not going to. Use Google and read on it. I personally was for Blue ray but I read an article where HD-DVD is much more easier for distribution to convert to for its much more friendly on the wallet price.

Headed back to my Aunts where i was staying.. Hung out and feel asleep to watching Wedding Crashers. Amazing movie.. I remember the part where the wedding for the Christopher Walken's daughter, where they were saying their vows about captain and shipmate. I was the only one laughing in the theatre. I love the movie...

Next day... Left Vegas after of course checking out the buffet at Mandalay Bay. Since it was Sunday, they were having a bunch with Champagne. Great food like always!! Since it was still early but then again late.. The drink of choice was a Mimosa!! The waiter then suggested i try instead of Orange Juice and Champagne, but Cranberry Juice and Champagne. I liked it much better since it cut out the alcohol taste. Good stuff!! What i did notice was this lady at my 2 o clock was staring. Like MAD!! Every other time i would people watch around the place, she would be staring. I looked behind me to see if there was anything to see but there wasn’t anything. I sat at the same place I have sat the last 2 times i have been there. Ehh whatever... Here’s a question, why do they have the dessert buffet place all the way on the opposite end of the main buffet? Just a thought..

Can’t wait to be back in Vegas with friends to party it up and stay up until the butt crack of dawn.

AVN or CES. Tough choice for next year...

Started 05 shitty but ended it much better!!!.. sorta

December 31st, 2005
You know... Rain sucks. I thought, hey no rain in December. I could deal with that since im not a fan of the rainy weather especially when im driving. I dont mind it if im home and all. Other than that, the only disadvantage of not having rain is not having snow in the mountains for snowboarding.

Here i am excited for the New Year Eve events. I had one already set up, Giant Village. Huge 6 block of downtown Los Angeles taken up, with 6 stages. On those stages were suppose to be Black Eyed Peas, Death Cab for Cutie, Flaming Lips, Christopher Lawerance, Junkie XL, Crystal Method and a lot more. I mean this was a party from 8 until 4am with 6 stages and lounges in the surrounding hotels. It the biggest 21 and over party in the World, why wouldnt it be the best New Years Event to hit up.

Story short.. Got down there. Event shut down. I mean i was hoping there wasnt any rain by the time i got down there and there wasnt. Semi clear skies, it was feeling like a great night for a party. It got canceled due to LAPD and the Fire Marshall shutting it down due to the safety of the people. I was like give me a break. However for some reason i was mad. I didnt even care. The three surrounding hotels from what i remeber the Westin Bonaventure, Sheraton and another were sold out. I can gurantee the only reason why it was sold out was because of this event. To add to the bullshit, im not big on caffene when i can help it. Most of the intake comes from tea however i figured i needed some Red Bull to prepare for this event. I downed one from the parking lot to the event and felt the effects rather quickly. My chest was not feeling all that great and so on. Thats what i get when i drink a can of liquid crack.

While walking back to the parking lot through the Sheraton. Saw Ben, the singer for Death Cab for Cutie and Postal Service hanging around with his girl. Even the performers didnt even know the event was canceled until an hour prior. I did hit up the publicist who was handling the event, but i was sure she was getting calls. She was very apoligic and i reassured her it was ok. I guess they will produce another event that will have the tickets honored.

Heres the thing.. I was kicking myself for not backing up the events which i initially thought i should have done. There was a party Pamela Anderson was hosting on the Paramount Studios with a midnight performance from the Pussycat Dolls. I would so have loved to see that. I skipped a fashion show at the studios due to the fact i had a term paper due the next day which i didnt start. Here was my chance again to party there. I was in talked with the publicist of the event, which i called but was busy with an US Weekly photoshoot for the event. I didnt want to bother calling him back, wasting his time since i was pretty much set on Giant Village.

Whats event more ironic. The first event i wanted to cover that night was John Legend at the House of Blues but i didnt bother again because of Giant Village. Gridlock LA, the Pamela Anderson event, was also canceled i learned a few days later. Talk about crappy rain. I knew people came to Los Angeles just to celebrate New Years and 2 of the biggest events were shut down. How nice.

I ended up heading to Curtis' place in Hollywood to hang out and figure out what was going to go down. The forsure opition was Together as One, a huge all ages rave party at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Sorry but i didnt have 60 dollars to spend on a party like that. Especially when i dont enjoy raves that much. Before that, Curtis wanted a boxspring to be disposed. Had to throw that thing off the second floor balcony. Fun. After Troy and I tossed that into the dumpster, a Russian dude from the adjacent buiding yelled at us, telling us it wasnt a public dumpster. Ehh, well its on a public street.

Curtis and Troy off to Together As One. And I going back home to rest before heading off to Laguna Beach. A friend wanted to hang out and I came with the idea of why not hanging on the beach and watch the first sunrise of 2006. She didnt get off work until 2 and hey it would be fun.

Got home.. and knocked out. I couldnt drive an hour over there and stay up until 6am. Screw that. I was home just doing a few things and i didnt even care. I wasnt disappointed or anything. Its somewhat of an overrated day but people choose to celebrate it. Oh well. I think the reason why i didnt care is that i spent last year in a much more worse state of mind. I was helping a friend move and we went and did the dinner thing. But during the move, i was talking to someone. Our relationship had been getting really blah and that day, December 31st of 2004, i reliezed something that I didnt want to. Talk about a low point. That put my head in a tail spin and was in a funk all that night. Ehh whatever. So lets just say, 2 canceled events and not spending time with a hot chick on the beach was much better than what i felt last year. Thats for sure.

Live and learn.. doing it big for sure NYE 2007

Well uhh the Dolce Group rules!!

Well thats all i gotta say. If you saw my Christmas List post.. I wanted some gift cards from the Dolce Group restuarants; Geisha House, Dolce, and Bella. To my suprise, the actual Dolce Group sent me gift cards to the three restuarants. Im not gonna state the amount, but lets just say, its enough for me to drive out an hour to go dine at either of the 3 restuarants.

Im still wondering how they knew where to sent the gift cards. Oh let me explain it first. Its like a sideways foldable card with 4 panels. The front says Happy Holidays while the first page of the inside says, Wishing you a tasty holiday season.. The Dolce Group. The next three pages has these business card sized cards with the name of the restuarant. Totally awesome!! I know Dolce had revamped their menu and i havent visited to try it out yet. They even offered 50 percent off Mondays and Tuesday to entice me to come in for dinner. Im soo going to go in and i havent tried Bella yet, and of course you all know i LOVE Geisha House.

The group will be opening their restuarants in Vegas, which i soo have to check out and the OC will be getting the restuarants. They will have lots of business but the flagship restuarants of the Dolce Group; Dolce and Geisha House, should really just be in Los Angeles and Vegas. Thats just my opnion. Other cities they are opening other restuarants are in Atlanta with Atlantic Station, Georgia with Geisha House, Dolce and King Pin, and then a sports bar in Dallas named Victory Park.

Genichi “Gen” Mizoguchi, the executive chef at Geisha House will be on the Iron Chef in January. I am assuming its the American Version on the Food Network challenging (im guessing) Masaharu Morimoto. 2 top Japanese chefs. Mizoguchi knows the art of the blowfish.. Maybe hell show off a little of that.. Be sure to check out the show or even better the Geisha House.

Once again... Thanks to the Dolce Group!! Ashton Kucher, Wilmer Vilderamma, Danny and Chris Masterson, Simon Rex, Jamie Kennedy, Dule Hill Lonnie Moore, Mike Malin, Shereen Arazm, Jessica Meisels and Marissa Knies. You guys rock!!

Anyone for dinner?? Its on me... =)'

Video On Demand Rules!!!

The title says it all. Its a little better than downloading tv shows yourself. I mean the downloads i get are in High Definition and no commericial. But i am pretty much stuck on the computer, and my little 19 inch screen. On Demand, you can stop pause and play it all and such. Whats even better is that you get On Demand for the cable movie channels you subscribe to. So i get HBO, Starz, Cinemax, and Showtime all on demand. Which means, the series they air i can watch.

I never got into Sopranos, especially since i was like 15 when it came out. Watched the first season, LOVE THE SHOW!! I soo need to get the other season DVDs. Entourage is on there, first season. The current season of Curb Your Enthsiasum is on, and its sooo FUNNY. Watch the episode about the Korean Bookie and the missing dog. ITS SOO FUNNY!! Showtime has their mini series, Sleeper Cell. So awesome!! Weeds was on there but i missed it when i wanted to watch it. Not only series are on demand. Movies, specials, documentaries and the late night wack adult movies are on to. I just cant wait until Real Time with Bill Maher and Entourage comes back. I never have to worry about missing it, just pull it up on demand and watch it over and over.

MTV has a little on demand for there shows, all the After Show for Laguna Beach is on. Kinda weird to watch it now, after meeting the cast and finally going to the actual place.

On Demand rules!! Im sure most of you guys dont even know you have it or know that its free. For Charter users, its channell 999. Remember to get it, you gotta be a subscriber to the channel!! HAVE FUN!! I know i do!!

ALL TV NEEDS TO BE ON DEMAND!! SCREW TIVO!

Welcome-D to the O.C. bitch!

I liked to start out saying people do not know how to drive and that EVERYONE needs to take another driving exam!! See i dont mind if you have crappy driving skills, but when you inflict that on to others, that’s when i have a problem. When i say others, i mean me!! They should even invite sensors that know when there are other cars around and install cameras. If you you are a crappy driver, that footage gets sent to the DMV or police, and your license gets revoked. When i say crappy driver, i mean not following the little rules when driving.

Here i am driving south on Daycreek Ave. At the intersection of Daycreek and Foothill, its a 3 way left turn light. I usually like to be in the far right of the left turns because im eventually going to the far right lane to hope on the freeway. I have had experiences where the 4th lane turns left when it can only go straight and here i am trying to make a left getting cut off. Anyways, I’m making a left and the cars in front of me go into the 4th lane after you make the left. Last i recall, in whatever lane you are in, you end up in that lane when you finish your turn. Of course there are times when you can be get into another lane, but CMON there are other cars behind you, stay in your damn lane or if you want to change lanes at least there gotta be some damn space for the cars behind you to go somewhere.

Another thing, while i got past all that, i had to get into the 4th lane to get on the freeway. It was backed up due to some rubbernecking on the onramp. I was stuck again behind a car trying to get into the lane, i waiting and got out. Drove up more and try to get into the lane myself. Some stupid car behind me honked at me, i was like wtf.. I would understand if i cut you off or you were behind him, but they weren’t. They were trying to get into the 4th lane too. I need to start using my horn more to be honest. All this trying to get on the freeway to get to Laguna Beach..

Prior to this i had to take a final for my American Cinema class. I had to take it at 3 other than the normal 6 because i had an event to cover. Headed to school, and there was no parking lot. I thought my professor had a class, it sounded like that when he told me i could come in early. Took the test with someone else, took me about 30 mins. 30 mins to do a final consisting of 40 questions and an essay. Easy stuff..

Now off to Laguna.. Hurray.. I was covering an event from one of the cast members charity event. Member of the Laguna Beach show on MTV. Im not going to get all into it but you can read my article. I have never been there, and actually haven’t been around that area in a long long time. I do recall being around Dana Point and Laguna Nigel.

The drive wasn’t too bad, 15 to 91 to 241 or 261 and after its a blur. The 261 or 241 is a toll road into Irvine. Instead driving around Anaheim Hills and Orange, it just cuts right through. A good time saver. The tolls wasn’t too bad but here’s the thing. The sun was setting and in my eye like none other! I was getting really blinded by it and it look like i took the wrong interchange. It said either South Orange and Irvine. I took the Irvine route and according to the Mapquest it was the right way. It didn’t feel right. The freeway ended, and i was sooo off directions. I turned out to be on Jamboree, i just figured to go south until i hit Pacific Coast Highway and then take a left down to Laguna. This drive was forever!! Or at least it felt like it. You ALWAYS feel like it takes forever when you don’t know where you are going but in your gut you feel like you are going the right way, and you just doubt and doubt every block.

One benefit i found going this way?? At least i know where Fashion Island in Newport is. I never knew and it was pretty cool to see. Another plus? The air felt so much pure and cleaner. The sky was beautiful and soo clear. Living inland, the sky is always disgusting unless the wind is blowing a little, its not. I finally hit PCH, and they weren’t lying when they say PCH is a mess!! Once i got onto the highway, i know i was safe. If i could, id get a convertible and drive up and down the highway all day, minus the traffic.

I eventually got into Laguna. Saw Ocean Ave, and Laguna Ave. I couldn’t help but look to my right and see the ocean. I love it when you are there, and the ocean seems so high. Its true, this place is just a little town and people will talk. Then after i got into Laguna, i was hoping the Methodist church was on a main street, where they have the signal light signs. It was already dark and i didn’t want to go around looking at the little street signs.

Got to the church, and it seemed semi crowded but wasn’t. When i got into the place and nothing was going on but a raffle off. Everything was way too disorganized. Here i am walking around trying to see what the areas were and what was going on. Nothing!! Nothing at all, a outside area of nothing and an inside of people waiting for the Meet and Greets with the cast. One of the most unprofessional and pointless events. I mean, yes there is a point, this charity, but i mean at least produce a newsworthy event to attract more attention.

Here i am walking around like a chicken with its head cut off walking from the outside holding area and the inside place. I just decided to walk towards the back that lead around to the meet and greet area. You can see the church right before you enter the doorway. Its a pretty small church, i say you fit maybe around 100 people or so. I guess there isnt that much practicing Methodists in Laguna.

The only person i notice at the moment here was Trey, just hanging out. Eventually Stephen and Jessica came and they did a little meet and greet with them 3. Its not a surprise that every single breathing girl there, mainly under 18, wouldn’t be surprised if under 16, were there to meet Stephen. Very very brief thing there. They had to get everyone out to the streets to create a mock finish line for when Dieter arrives. A 120 Miles, that is amazing stuff, in one day. I gotta say that he is a machine.

Was pretty annoying out here. Little girls all gitty about the cast members of the show and so on. MTV had i think 3 camera guys all over the place just hogging up space to shoot any of the people. I was told the pr person who was handling this event was contact a lot of media to over. From what i noticed there was only 3 photographers counting me, and 1 writer for sure and maybe another. That’s it. I have been to whatever events with more coverage.

Whatever reason, 3 fire trucks came to do something up the street. Its a rather small codisack, didn’t know how they fit them in. Anyways, they had a check that Dieter was going to present to the SAVE organization, looks like so far they had raised a little over 43,000 dollars. Right on. So he came up, to a crowd less than enthused. I mean im sure they would be, but whoever was handling the audience sucked and it looked more like MTV was trying to do it, but we all know how lame they are.

Before Dieter came up, Alex Murrell and Alex H was dropped off, where What would Dieter Do? shirts. They are both really tall, well Alex H is much taller. Dieter came, and all sweaty fell on the floor semi jokingly and just hung out. After that, just a mad mob rage to show how unorganized this is. He left, while MTV and the check presentation didn’t even happen. Taylor and Morgan showed up outta nowhere, and WOW!!! I have to say that i think Taylor is the most beautiful chick on the whole dang cast. Kristin knows she has a nice body and she uses that too much. Lauren "LC" has an effortless beauty but that beauty isn’t always apparent all the time. Taylor?? Always pretty with minimal makeup. If you can look hot with only lip-gloss that is beauty without makeup. She was wearing this orange redish dress and was looking soooooo cute. Anyways.

Dieter came back, presented the check to the dude at SAVE, and was presented with a plaque. He was doing thank yous and someoen from the crowd had to mention LC for a thank you. I read in his journal about how shes whatever if she doesnt show, theres gotta be some reasoning behind that. Back to the little room for some more rabbed fans. I just hung out, take pictures where i could when they were just chillin. I decided to say hi to the KIIS DJ and the giveaway, make KIIS FM present be known guys. Introduced myself to them, dropping Manny wack butt name in it. HAHA... DJ Shy was really friendly, cool chick and new resident DJ at the radio station. Talked to the other KIIS FM people. One of the chicks was asking me about my jacket... i swear ive seen her somewhere and she was a little cutie..

More of the cast walking around and what not. You can totally tell that Jessica really didnt want to be there. She wasnt talking to no one and the other way around. I mean the fans were but other than that, not really. I noticed at a certain point she was signing the the flyers in mass production mode.

Enough of that, it was getting close to 7ish and off to the after party. At this point, was friendly with the DJ and her homie, Al. The name im assuming because i totally didnt hear it. I always try to make an effort to remember names.

Left the place, people were taking photos with Polster, and I didnt really noticed him until after that. Back to the car to head on over to the club. When i was walking back, these little girls were asking me where everyone was going and if i knew where to go. Of course, i did. They told me they didnt know where they were going because they lived in San Diego, and i was like oh wow. But then i thought about it, took me the same amount of time and distance to get there, so i shouldnt say anything.

When i hit PCH again, everyone looked like they were turning right and i was the only one turning left. Again, felt i was lost. But i got on my way there. Things looked familar since it was around the Spectrum.

Diablos... In Lake Forest was the location of the party. A week ago, it was only suppose to be 21 and over and a few days ago it changed to All Ages. I figured they did that because they werent going to get much 21 and over folks coming

The club, nothing special. One side with a stage the other side with a dj booth and a lower dance floor. I mean this place is totally dancable place. Anywho, hung around the DJ booth and just chilled with Al. Observing and drinking. I had a Vodka Tonic that tasted soo week, but man when i got a second one, i was out of it. When i left the house to Laguna, i was already thristy, which meant i was dehydrated already. That just ampped the effects of the vodka. I knew by my second drink, i had to take my time cuz me and Al were buying drinks for each other. There was a group of asian dudes filming the DJ. One of them came up to chatter saying how they are filming her for a profile on VHN network. A new asian channel on DirecTV. He was talking it up and saying how they are looking for people to maybe profile. I was like... uhhh... sure... Maybe? Let me hit the gym for umm maybe a year first, and then we could? HAHA.. So not camera ready...

Lets set up this up for yall. Next to the DJ booth was 2 boxes about 20 feet from each other. They had a pole on each, from the looks of it, to hold up signs and what not. A thought came to mind, hmmm maybe some chick could maybe use it like a stripper pole and just dance and what not around it. Maybe you can see where im going. Now here comes a chick that i saw at the church and chillin around the DJ booth here. I see her jump up the box with a look on her face like she got a bicycle on Christmas day. You know... that look..

Im not done.. another set up.. Usually when you introduce yourself, you tell your name first.. Ok keep that in mind. Here she is spinnning around the pole that wasnt really stable to do it. Hey the engine that could... I looked at her, and she came down to me. She explained to me why she couldnt do it, like i was her evaluater or something. Then she said, oh im a stripper and i dance go go. Like i was itnerviewing her for a job and she was giving me a verbal resume. I was like uhh ok, just go up and dance some more. FUN FUN!! Ok i have a photo of her somewhere on this post, not going to point it out though. She did tell me where she dances, and maybe, just maybe ill check it out.

Another thing, looks like a bunch of these girls were in the house. Representing a clothing brand. There were like 6 or so of them. All working for the stripper, fun. They were semi wild but not really. I saw 2 who werent doing anything. OK there was one chick, to me, the most attractive one, and she was fully clothed but her dancing, the sexuality just oozed out of her. Like she was covered, jeans, uggs, and like a weather type thing. anyways!

Nothing much really went on. There were bands and what not performing on the other side. Saw Nehemiah dancing and i went over and said whats up. Looking at MTV site, hes from Rancho Cucamonga. Man if i knew that, i would have talked up some shop about Rancho, but whatever. Talked to him cousin a little bit, who was pretty blingin it. Im assuming hes in the Slimeballs. Whatever that is.

Again nothing relaly going on, around 10ish, Alex Murrell went on stage. That was the other person I wanted to see perform. Her song, "Hello" i really like. Before she got some stage, Taylor was on stage hanging around and a guy in the crowd said, "Laguna Beach sucks." She walked over to him and said, "Are you kidding? Seriously are you kidding?" Man shes a little firecracker. I totally dig that.

Morgan, Taylor and Alex were chillin on the otherside. Stephen came around to MC a little bit. Alex then performed. The first song i didnt know what it was, but i was busy taking photos. The lighting totally sucked and most of the photos came out orangy. Second song was "Best Friend," which i assumed was about Taylor but i didnt catch the lyrics. She was tearing up all emotional, and that was hella cute. A girly girl with attiitude with a natural beauty. Perfect!! If you ask me. Totally perfect. Last song, "Hello" and it looked like myself, Morgan, and Taylor were the only ones who sung along. I like how she sings and how she sounds on this track. If you wanna hear it, go to her myspace at myspace.com/alexmmusic

I ended up going to the VIP area after that. Said whats up to Stephen. Wasnt much going down there. Some of the cast was chillin. I talked to Alex H. telling her she looked bored but she told me she was tired. Talked to her mom and little bit. Alex Murrel came by and i didnt expect a hug but i gave her one and said hi. Totally caught me off guard.

At this point i had a really bad headache, buzzing off my butt kinda hard to walk, and way too dehydated. It was around 1030, and i figured just to leave. The stripper and her posse was still running around taking photos, and dancing on poles. Other than that, the entertainment was quite minimal.

I had fun, and was totally glad i didnt have someone come along. I usually like to have someone come for the ride. But i knew i would have been whatevers if someone was with me and i was trippen out to myself about where i was going. Plus, its really hard to mingle and do your own thing when you are worrying about someone. Solo is usually the best way to go..

I really wanted to ask Alex H. about where Kristin was since they live together. I figure she was busy doing stuff cuz she doing a movie and in a show. (Actually found out that she was there supporting her boyfriend her band. Man was i not paying attention)Talan, im sure he was a little too big headed to be there now. Who knows. I love learning where to go out. I wanna go back to the beach area and just hang out and take photos. Its totally peaceful.

O.C. parties.. not like it is on TV...

One Million hits to my site... almost...

My site has been around for almost a year, a year closer to the end of January in 2006. Been wanting to have my own .com for the longest time and finally took the plunge, bought it, designed it and so on. Needed a place, an official place to put some thoughts, my schedule, and photos up. I say official, because ive had i think 3 other blogs, blogs that are still up and if you google it. Im sure you’ll be able to read them. Those ones are a lot uncensored than this one you are reading. I have a much bigger audience here than the other ones. However it’s pretty rad to read my crazy thoughts at certain times.

As of Saturday December 17, 9:38PM Pacific Time, I have had 834177 hits to my site. Im sure ill hit 1 Million at least by the first entry. I say that’s a lot for some dude speaking his mind. Sorta. I really wished I spoke my mind about everything .. here that is..

Anyways.. So im sure you see the image to the right. OK let’s do a set up, in my hosting program i can’t see where the people are coming from. Well not coming from, but if they click a link somewhere and it leads to my site, it tells me. Looking through the list, i noticed a lot of random site, which lead to nowhere most of it. However i found something of substance, a link to comicbookconventions.com. I had to mine a little bit and there image is what i found. I didn’t submit anything to them but i guess they just found it and reported it. Heres my gripe, the first part about photos and such, ok cool, but the attitude comment? I don’t know if that’s good or not, attitude as in what a attitude someone punch him or attitude in a good way. I don’t know.

I haven’t gone through my whole list and see where some people are coming from but i shall. If you come here often, feel free to email me and say hi.

No Attitude, and 1 Million hits baby!!

Quarter Life Crisis... Im getting old...

Last Thursday December 8th, 2005

Happy Birthday to me!! Hurray!! 22 years ago I was born and 22 years later I am here mistakenly (not getting into that today). Birthdays aren’t a big deal to me because it’s just another day. I wanted to just lay low and not announce it really. How did I lay low?? Signed off my screen names on my PC and Sidekick, and pretty much had my cell phones off. i so didn’t want contact with anyone at all. It’s just a waste, and lotta of the happy birthday wishes feel so empty and such. Plus i didn’t want any presents or whatever. At least i know i wouldn’t be getting another Bible. Nothing says you need some salvation from our holy savor than getting a Bible, especially on your birthday. Its likes getting something like gum or a gym membership, and the underlying reason is that your breath be kicking and your ass needs to get on a treadmill. And the only appropriate time to give it to you is on your birthday. Like any other time isn’t a good time, but you can put a facade of a gift on it. Goodness. it was even "A New Believers" Bible. Which means, cliff notes, breakdowns, highlights.. Pretty much a dumbbed down version. Ehhh enough of the ranting about that... So over it.

Headed off to the Pasadena Symphony Association to do an audit on their systems. Wasn’t too hard, had to keep track of their PC, Monitors, Printers, and Fax machines. Yesterday i had to go out to Redlands, to Redlands Aviations to install and configure a few things. The only highlight of the audit in Pasadena was that one of the chicks i was talking to have a nice behind.

Afterwards, headed to my dads work to get some lunch. Got some salad and trying to finish up reading "Kitchen Confidential." Almost done, new thing… reading is fun!

Then off to LA Weekly, to hang out with Ben and regroup on certain things. More reading and what not. Wanted to hit up the Jimmy Kimmel show. Walked on over to Hollywood and Highland and there was already a mad mad line. The stage behind the El captain theatre had rehearsals for Fort Minor. Right then I really wanted to check it out. But it was barely 6 and the performance wouldn’t happen until 945 at the earliest.

Walked across the street to the newly opened Virgin Megastore. There’s one over here, and man its pretty overpriced media. What i found really interesting is that they had some UK magazines. Namely Arena, and Kelly Brook was on the cover pretty much naked. i remember doing a few episodes of Smallville, and that sparked my interest. Looked into her spread, and she was pretty much nude. i thought this was interesting, but then again the UK is open with their sexuality, and the US is uptight and conservative about it. i mean c’mon, look at the whole uproar about the Janet Jackson super bowl thing. Shows how really conservative America is on that matter. it doesn’t mean I think America is conservative on many other matters, if you looked at the polls, America is a more than half on many issues Liberal. Anyways, UK open on sex and not on violence, and America is open on Violence and close-minded on sex.

Left out of there after awhile and stood on Hollhwood Blvd wondering how we were going to kill time. Kill time to what? Well Paul Sheer and Aziz Ansari (make sure you go to Aziz site and download funny shorts entitled Shutterbugs)was doing a show at the Upright Citizen Brigade Theatre. A commentary on the R.Kelly Trapped in the Closet video. i had been talking to Paul here and there during the week and Aziz hit me up today. I really wanted to check it out and show our support and what not, but man we had no idea how to kill the time until the showing at 11. We thought of a movie, but couldn’t agree on one movie to watch, so that was out of the picture. Sitting in the middle of the Hollywood and Highland complex trying to figure out what to do. We left it up to fate, just flipped a coin weather or not we were going to wait and attend the show or not. Result? The head of that Indian chick on the 1 dollar coin. Off to dinner and then to home.

Decided to have some dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. its a perfect day in Los Angeles, not a cloud in the sky with a light breeze. Perfect jacket weather. Since its such a nice night out, we decided to sit outside and have dinner there. Having some light conversation. Took me awhile to decide what I wanted. The menu doesn’t really offer much variety, i shouldn’t be surprise since I’ve been there about a thousand times. i really wanted s salad but i had one earlier so i got the typical thing i get there, the Fettuccine with Garlic Cream sauce with either Chicken and shrimp or both. This time i got it with the shrimp since Ben got it with the chicken.

Had a pretty good dinner, and off we go. Left the place and what not. I was deciding weather just to stay myself and sleep in my ride or whatever. But i didnt, i made it home way before the show would have started but i will be going to a future show of Pauls, since Aziz is out in New York. Cant wait. Over all, Operation Low Profile was a great success. Besides me bitchin' at a select people who couldnt even say birthday wishes. Whatever..

Its my party and ill cry if i want to... if i want to...

Notary Seminar and Exam today.. Hurray!! Last night, wasnt feeling all too well. I felt either the cold or flu coming on. Well i mean i felt it coming on the days before but this was the day i hit me like a ton of bricks. Illness for me usually builds up to the actual day i wish i was dead and in bed. Yesterday was the day, however when i woke up this morning, i was feeling real good. Up at 7am however bed at 2. Who knows.. Either i have a really good immune system or the multi vitamin, fish oil pill, vitamin c crewable, 3 cups of green tea, and the pomagrated juice.

Head on over to the Ontario Hilton. There were lots of people. About 100 or so people. I learn lots about being a notary but as i was taking the class. The most you could charge for lots of the services were about 10 bucks. That’s beside the point, i was only there to get my license so i can do loan signings. That’s where the money is at.

Of course there were a few cute chicks and there, but mainly older folks. And then there were older older folks..

Not to be an ignorant person or whatever. But you know how they say that life comes full circle? When you are born you are in a diaper, and when you get older you whine up in a diaper too? Well like some of the adults in this class need things repeated and ask obvious questions and so on. Ehh who am i to judge? Education, well retaining it as you get older is a lot more difficult. So maybe that’s why.

Totally over looked there was a state fee to take the test. A check or money order was needed, so my butt had to go home to get it. I thought it was bad for me, but the cute woman in front of me lived an hour away. There was some lunch feast thing at the cafe, and i wanted to try it out. Oh well.

Headed on home, got the check during the lunch break. Thought to go to Rubios for some fish tacos since it was near by. Haven’t had them in awhile and its a pretty good deal.

Back to class for the last few hours. The 8 hours is going by quick since i am hella interested in this and learning something new that will be give a better income. I am all for it!!

A few more hours, and we are done. Had to go ahead and take the exam. Took about a friggin hour to register everyone. I was going to complain about the wait, well you know what i should. It took me like 2 minutes extra to register because i wanted to have my commission county be associated with Los Angeles rather than San Bernardino. I kinda made up a address area but i just got the office of the main person i was going to work for in Covina. It looked like the Hilton was having some banquet in the hall, and they were setting up. FUN!!

The exam wasn’t too hard. 30 multiple choice questions after learning about it all in 8 hours prior. Shouldn’t be too hard. I mean i had a few questions that took more thinking, got stumped on a few and i know i read a few wrong. However i know i passed, i mean cmon now. If i don’t, i have some really bad learning disabilities, like forreals!!

After the exam, compared some notes on the test with this dude that sate behind me renewing his commission, and this other chick who sat by him. I now know i have a really bad short term memory, i was trying to remember questions so i can ask them over to get an opinion. Took me awhile to recall my second one. Something about making a notarizing a college degree or whatever.

Anywho, off to Leslies to hang out. Got some dinner at Quiznos. Yum. That’s some good ass sandwiches. All toasty and such. All about the chicken club or turkey or whatever else.

A good night for television if you ask me. One Tree Hill and Lost. Oh last night, i got the Ryan Cabrera Live at the Wiltern DVD i was at back in March and watched it. Like dude look for my ass walking up and down the ramp behind the pit in the first 3 songs. I’ve noticed, really recently i been working a lot of concerts going to DVD. I love it. Mad, i missed the Michael Buble one thought.

Anyways, One Tree Hill was a good episode. Doesn’t look like its getting teen cheesy much or the story line has been done before. The new chick who plays Rachel the cheerleader is really hot. Then of course there is Lost. I ALWAYS effin scream at the end of the episode because its cliffhanger galore!! Dane Cook feels the same too and man oh man. Love it!! This episode, they found another piece of the Darpa reel where it skips in the one in the hatch. The added frames said that the computer shouldn’t be used for anything else but inputting the code. Of course when Michael is around the computer, which seems to be right after the video is showed again, the computer is operation to be typed on. Dude he talks on it, and it appears to be his son, Walt on the other end. CRAZY!! I can’t wait to see next week, and 24 is coming back and that’s going to be awesome!!

Enough of that, tomorrow. Long day with a little Chris Botti!!!

Dolce Group Gift Certificates

Id love gift certificates from some of my favorite restaurants in Hollywood. I just love the food and the atmosphere. I still gotta hit up Dolce since im getting 50 percent off there on Mondays and Tuesday.. Yum Yum!! The following are the direct links to the gift certificate forms.

Vegas Trip Day 2

Friday November 18th, 2005M

Day 2... Well actually kinda day 1 since I didn’t get into Vegas yesterday until 2ish or 3 or whatever. The top shows we had today were Dane Cook and George Lopez. Last night, didn’t go to bed until 4ish i think.

Got up around 10ish and got ready. OH!! Last night at Pure, i met a correspondent from People Magazine. He told me that Kimberly Stewart was rumored to come into Vegas at Midnight to elope. I remember reading something about her and Ryan Cabrera hanging out. But last night i saw a ticker on E! that she was engaged to Talan from Laguna Beach. They only have been dating for 2 weeks. CRAZY!! Talan has always been a pimp since he dated Lindsay Lohan and now marrying Kimberly Stewart. That’s pretty tight if you ask me.

Headed off to the Caesar Palace to drive and to walk the strip from there. I wanted to hit up Walgreen first because i had a little problem with something. I needed to have it handled cuz i mean im in Vegas and if you don’t have it handled.. Then the trip might turn out to be a bad one. Yes, very vague, gotta keep yall guessing. .

Walked there and bought a few things. Left outside and was bummed rush by a lady to take a small survey. After that, headed on over down the strip more to find something to eat. That survey lady recommended to check out the buffet at Excalibur or Mandalay Bay.. I say Mandalay Bay because ive been there for lunch and its pretty good. Its rated one of the best if not the best buffet in Vegas.

Walked on over there and hopped on the monorail at Excalibur that takes you into Mandalay Bay. Off to the buffet. Walked into the bay and it just gets me a little sadden that i was suppose to be here to see Josh Groban in March. I felt the vibe i should have been here for it. Oh well. Paid 16 bucks for the buffet, which was pretty expensive but it was too big of a deal. The food here is top of the line. You can’t get any better for gourmet food at this price, and for a dang buffet. I enjoyed it, not as much as i could cuz Ben was tired and wanted to go back and we still had the trek back to Caesars Palace.

Trekked it on back, and it seemed a lot quicker... Decided to hit up the media room to see if we could request tickets for other shows. Made our request for all the shows we could. Looks like Jamie Kennedy was request interviews with the comedians for his documentary. Hes a pretty talk guy and a slow talker. Put our request in and headed back to the crappy hell hole we were staying in. We passed by Mesa Grill and saw Bobby Flay hanging inside the restaurant speaking to a group of people.

Ben took his nap, and i just chilled to finish up my last post. Its really hard to keep entries updated on some sort of hour bases with a cell phone in Vegas. I mean the having time factor plays apart, and i rather some sort of Internet connection and hope on my laptop. I know i could hit up the media room and use there Internet access but im kinda stuck with whatever Ben wants to do since he was driving.

Chilled out until 6ish, got ready and headed off to the Palace to see Dane Cook and George Lopez. It was still early, so just hung out at a bar. Talked it up with the bartender. Got me a pineapple and Malibu since I didn’t really want to get buzzed or whatever. Ordered a slice of pizza and it looks like Ray ordered some pizza on the otherside of the place. Its crazy to see all these comedians all over the place in a central place.

Met this dude Vince, who was here to check out the shows. He needed to find out where the Palace Ballroom was, where Dane Cook was performing. We headed on over there and took the really high escalator to the third floor. The doors seemed to be opened for people to come in and take seats. I tried to find whoever was handling the escorting in for photographers and no one was there. Left on back to the media room, and got some help. They escorted us into the backstage area. The escort chick left us and we were free to walk around. I don’t think we were suppose to be back there but after going through a few curtains and seeing the back of the stage. We were in the green room.

The green room wasnt really green. It was pretty red, it had a red tint and the plush round booth looking seats were red. They had a HBO/AEG backdrop for the usual photo and electronic television cameras. I noticed i was the only photographer back there and quickly observed that the other photographers were in the audience shooting out there. Whatever, no one was going to kick us out and this was my chance to meet Dane officially. I saw Dane come from where i came and i saw him, i gave him the Super Finger and he gave it back and we shook hands. Just hung out some more, and took in the green room. I noticed someone that looked familiar, but i thought he was with the camera crew. He was actually opening up for Dane. Robert Kelly was his name, we chatted a few and talked some. He was cracking the jokes and pulled one on me. Im not going to say what he said, but lets just say its what i went to Walgreen earlier for.

Robert performed on stage, and Dane came out for interviews. I took some photos of him. I really wanted to interview him, but i wasn’t really prepared and didn’t have my iPod with the mic. Just took the photos and watched Robert on the monitor.

Dane went on afterwards and of course with rockstar status. The green room filled up with people who paid 1500 for the platinum package for the festival. If you asked me, they were hell rude bumping into me without saying excuse me or even a sorry. Whatever. Grubbed on the pizza they had out and they had some salsa. Drank down the beer and just chilled out, watched the monitor and see Dane performed. The jokes he choose wasn’t as funny as i thought he could have been that night. He did lotta jokes from his comedy albums that he has released. I really wanted to hear jokes where I didn’t know the punch line due to hearing it 100 times over. He did the movie one, which is hilarious. Other than that, it was just pretty rad hanging backstage with him and talking to him.

After the show, he came back to the green room where the people back there jumped him. I just stayed back and took it in. It died down a little bit and Ben wanted to take a picture with him. He went up and talked to him, i whipped out my camera and took it. I counted it off 1, 2, 3 with my left hand and took it. Dane came up to me after and said how he liked the count off. We gave each other the brother hug, and i told him, no cheese, no cheese man. Its a joke he has done before at a show at the Laugh Factory i saw him at. He then said, awww man!! I should have done that joke, lets go back on stage and do it. He held out his hand like what you would do when you go on a stroll up to grandma’s house. I said lets go!! Then that was it, i said take care and went on the marry way. Walked out tot he exit and i didn’t want to leave. I had this high of meeting Dane and wanted to just be in his presence. Ben left to go see George Lopez. I could care less, saw him once and its all good.

Went back to the green room and hung out. I wanted to give Dane my car or even his manager my card. He seemed quite busy, and they both were huddled away in the corner to chat. I decided to leave. Headed off to the Colosseum back area to see if they still were allowing photographers. Which they didn’t since it was about an hour into the performance. The door security told me that he was almost done, so i chilled at the steps in front of the Colosseum. Sat there for a effin hour!! That thing didn’t get out until 1ish. Man i was like, I could be doing other things and having adventures on my own somewhere. But I didn’t have the car, a room key and Ben didn’t have a cell. So im screwed!!

Finally the show let out, and tried to figure out what to do. I resisted hitting the tables or any sort of gambling. Checked out Pure, and lines like crazy. Screw that.. Sat down at a video slots. Didnt even know what the heck was going on. I came to the conclusion that junk is just mindless pressing of buttons and losing your money. Good thing it was only a penny slot, and i lost 1.98 dollars, cashed out with 2 cents. There was this chick sitting next to us. She struck up a conversation with Ben and i didn’t want to be affiliated with her in anyway. Her ass acted like she had my number and knew things about me. That annoyed me so bad, but i just ignored her. Noticed Tom Leykis at the bar talking to some chick, and took a few photos of her.

I didnt know what mine and Ben signal was to abort, but we eventually left that wack chick and her friend and took a walk around the Forum shops down to the end. Rather weird but i would also think a little scary, saw these 2 chicks passed out. They were sleeping at what looked like a aquarium at the end of the forum shops. Kinda odd, but then again this is Vegas. Looking at the shops, man i really wish i had some money to throw away!

After that, it was around 2:30 and left back to the hotel. Unwind, and I didn’t fall asleep until four. One more day to go, lets make it a good one. I missed Bill Maher which i wanted to see, and a few others.

Me and Dane have somewhat of an inside joke!!!

A Little Less Conversation, a little more action!

Wednesday November 16th, 2005

Today... Nothing much of anything besides leading up to my vegas trip tomorrow. First trip just going without family and of legal drinking and gambling age. Its for work in a since of course, but lotta fun though. That's the beauty of my job. Soo much fun!

Why am I going? Ill be shooting the Comedy Festival in Vegas. The first one of many I hope. Just a 3 day festival of celebrating comedy with performances from Dane Cook. George Lopez, Jerry Sienfied, Dave Chappelle, Best Week Ever people, and so much more. Its just going to be loads of fun!

They are televising the Earth to America show. To the best of my knowlegde from some online info and tv commericals, just a bunch a comedians bringing awareness to global warming. Yes many comedians are librerals, get over it. Hahaha...

Oh! So I sealed the deal with illusionblue. A computer consultanting firm headed by an old classmate back in middle school. I was surfing craigslist a few weeks ago and saw an ad for technicians. Checked it out last week, met with the CEO who I knew back in the middle school days as the goto computer guy. it was pretty cool. Here's the catch, in a since I work for them but work for myself. Im renting out the desk, computer and other office amendities for $150 bucks a month. Im sure you are asking why are you paying to work. In my mind I am considering this an investment. I will be sent out on trouble tickets where I do make a good amount an hour plus mileage but the true benefit is another desk, office, computer to go to. The experience I will recieve and can be added to my resume, and dude he has every damn microsoft title among others.. Here's the thing, legally. I need a clean install of windows xp pro, I have the bootleg of windows 2k pro and it doesn't like me. So 150 is a small amount to pay for things invested that will be beneficial in the long run.

Anyways back to today. Went to class, and students are dropping like flies. Its funny, not the class is hard, just people not showing up. I spend most of my time trying to finish off reading books I haven't yet and im currently on michael moores dude where's my country. WOW!. I have farenhiet 9/11 and that got me so angry, and reading into this. The movie was soo watered down compared to the book. Just all the bullshit and lies, makes me mad. However, I do take it with a grain of salt, just bc its written doesn't make it true. Moore does quote other sources which make it a powerful written word. Just the lies, excuses, and just making the american people look a damn fool. I do admit, I supported the war, watching the news, hearing bush, so on and so forth I was for the war, I was for bush, I affliated with the republicians. I ordered the freedom fries. But cmon! Still no sign of weapons of mass distruction. Yes saddam is evil but america has a long reputation for putting dictators to power and supporting them. France supported us since the war of independance, and first to come after septeber 11th. Screw it, im not going to get into it. I do support the rich getting richer, I mean my dad worked his ass off to be where we are. If I stood back as an outsider looking in, we, when I say we, I mean my brothers and mom. Outsider looking in, I have it fuckin made. Beautiful house, food on the table, a working car, and all these luxuries. I take it for granted because im a ungrateful son, anyways more rambling. Yes rich getting richer... But I do have a heart. Yes I know due to popular belief I do have one. Im just not a fan of lies and deciet, a war based on it with american and innocent causalities. I have ben called liberal as an insult, like being on the school yard and caling little Billy fag or as adults whatever insult you can use. I do get angry when called that, but I shouldn't. It means I have a mind of my own to question things and not go with certain ideals because you belong to whatever party. I know someone where they wouldn't even watch a movie, day after tomorrow, because it was propaganda ridden about global warming. Give me a break. I watched it purely based on entertainment, I didn't believe it could happen and I didn't come away thinking dude, I better start hugging trees or the earth is going to freeze over and dennis quiad is going to have to travel from washington to new york to have jake gheyyhal. Ok enough of that.... Watch bill maher, my views are generally paralell to his.

Class finished. Went home. Tried to finish up some errands. Oh so I looked through this folder. Folder that held all my notes, iternary, info sheets and other stuff for my vegas tripped I planned out last march. Where I was going to see josh groban at manadalay bay. Looking through this, got me upset, then sad, then annoyed, lastly relieved. I had this whole trip planned for someone I cared about deeply, eehh unno. Im just happy its over, that feeling you have in your chest that you feel would never go away. However I do believe my plans will be carried out sometime in the future. You can only hope, but what I've said before.. Hope is just blind faith. But I do wonder.....

Hung out at home a little. Left to school to drop classes... Don't ask... Deposited a check at the bank, headed to the victoria gardens to buy another memory card for the fesitval just in case I couldn't dump the photos I take to my laptop. Decided not to, im pretty much a regular at ritz camera. One of the employees, jennifer. Such a cutie, has this punk rock vibe to her but really plain jane. Its really attractive to me. And I recalled her going to high school with me and I just came up with an apifany. In my mind, I recall this like rockablity girl in high school who wore this red dress, something you see back in the day, like 50s. Omg I think its her, she dated this guy. It HAS to be her, I keep seeing this lady in red in my head and it has to be her! Im soo going to ask her next I see her... Oh guys, if you know what a microdrive is, they are coming out with a better model, so make sure you get that instead of the older one.

Alex and derek were at the mall, so I met up with them for 5 minutes. They headed off to Active and I took derek with me because I was heading that way to Leslies house. Went there and left to Pei Wei to get dinner for me and her.

This place totally rules! Best "fast food" chinese food! They actually cook the stuf! Got me orange peel beef with brown rice and Leslie got the Spicy korean chicken with brown rice.

Off to house to hang a little. Oh, Ben hit me up at 7ish when I was at Ritz head over to my house. He was staying over since im right off the 15 freeway to Vegas and we were leaving in the morning.

So I still with Leslie for like 10 mins and I get a call and Ben is over already. It was barely an hour that past and I was figuring 30 more mins. Rushed on home and just chilled out. Went over a few things and yeahh.. I still gotta pack... We headed off to give a tour of my little town. Looks like Johnny Rockets is going to serve breakfast soon.. I wanna how that's going to be like...

Its 3.. And im trying to finish up this entry along with the last 3 you see and update the featured albums, Fort Minor and Michael Buble, before I get to Vegas for your pleasure! Hopefully I will, and hopefully I can blog while im over there with daily updates... If I don't, im either being robbed at the tables, pissed drunk peeing in the belliegio lake, or maybe, just maybe on a hotstreak. Wish me luck.. Don't forget, that's when preparation meets oppotunity. My money is prepped and my butt is opputune on that chair.

Things ill be saying.. HIT ME!!! & ALL IN!!!

Im a nerdy as they come, but so much cooler!!

November 18th, 2005

Portable Media Expo and Podcasting conference day is here. I’ve been receiving lots and lots of releases and requests from the exhibiters for a few weeks now to visit the booths. I didnt really plan on doing much on this event, however when i discovered Leo Laporte was the first keynote speaker. I had to go.

I can pretty say i grew up with him in my technology peak. I remember seeing Tech TV for the first time when i visited my uncle in Jersey and turned it on and saw the Screen Savers on Tech TV with Patrick Norton. I was sooo sucked, all the nerdy stuff i understood. I was disappointed when i got back home and didn’t have the channel. Years later, it finally got on Adelphia and yes. Hooked. However ever since Comcast, which in turn G4 bought and made it G4TECHTV. I went down hill, in a nut shell the network totally sucks now, and they dropped the TechTV, and now is only G4. Video game TV, whatever. I am bitter because some of my favorite television personalities, Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton, Kevin Rose weren’t on tv as much. I mean Kevin Rose still carried on The Screen Savers for awhile but he hightailed it out of there. The show change to Attack of the Show, they now have lame subjects and yeah. They even had a stint where the callers who called in were set up and were G4 employees calling. ANYWAY!! I am rambling. Leo, Patrick, Kevin among other TechTv alumni starting doing Podcasts.

If you didn’t know, Podcasts are basically a radio show in a since put online for you to download and listen on your computer and/or iPod. Subjects are various, name it and you will find it. Especially with the latest version of iTunes, 4.9, it makes them more readily available and showcase and puts them on the fore front. Still not catching a huge audience and with studies, 80 percent of podcasters and listeners are of the male gender, and in the 30-44 age range. As podcasting becomes more popular, it will be more known to the masses.

For myself, i listen to the tech podcasts, mainly this week in tech with Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton, Kevin Rose, Robert Hurand, Roger Chang, and many more. Each week is differnt as the speakers, but its fun to listen to. I started listening to this from day one, and just love to hear the guys speak on subjects i was used to hearing from these guys. Another tech podcast, would be Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht Diggnation. Digg.com is a social bookmarking website, dealing mainly of tech sorts. Diggers digg stories, the popular ones hit the home page for all to the read. Kevin and Alex each week review and talk about a handful of the top stories. Very fun to listen to. Other ones, Tips from the Top floor about Photography, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Roger and Ebert, and lately One Tree Hill Peytons. Even Josh Groban got in the podcasting on his members only club Friends of Josh Groban.

Wow,i am getting way into this and need to just talk more. I totally missed Leo Laportes Key Note since i couldn’t wake up for it at 8. I ws up way way too late the night before. I made it to the Ontario Convention Center at 11 when i finally woke up and got ready. Right when i entered the convention center, i see Alex Albrecht. I didn’t know why really he was there, then again he does have a podcast. I just found it so cool. I was thinking, like when i see him, my geeky side comes up and i do get instead of starstruck, i get nerd struck. I am more excited seeing my geek idols persay, but if i see another celeb, i could careless. i entered the hall, and picked up my badge.

Walked up and down the place. It not what i am used to. I am used to the massive scales of CES and Comic Con, that this was pretty tamed. I say maybe over 30 exhibiters were there. i just briefly walked up and down. I headed off to the Press Room to see what it was all about. Nothing too much. Had the usual coffees, and such. Just picked up a water and headed back out. Did some more walking around, checked out the schedule to see what conferences i wanted to check out. Off to the press room once again. this time they were serving lunch. Samwiches!! Picked a table, got some food and hung out. While hanging out and reading through the program booklet, i hear a familar voice and someone yell out Leo!

Another nerdstuck moment.. sorry. More and more he’s just so intelligent and his vast knowledge is amazing. On an episode of systm, Kevin Rose checks out Leo's podcasting equipment, i didn’t know but he has years of experience in radio and more in computers. Anyways, i couldn’t help but looking back and seeing him, chatting and so on. He was getting interviews from someone there by a videocamera, i hung out and just listened to him talk. I missed the Keynote and i had to just stand there in awe and listen. Such a nerdy moment!

Brief and headed off to the key note.. Just talked about yahoo podcasting service, looks like they are jumping on the podcasting little red wagon. I say that because its not that big yet.. HAHA.. Then ran off to the conference entitled Secrets of iPod and Itunes with Leo Laporte, Paul Griffin, Chris Breen, and Dan Frakes. Again I was here to see Leo talk, and even Paul. Paul Griffin is the head of Griffin Technology where you get the iTalk and iTrip. The conferenece was prettty basic and fun and all i wanted to do was hear the guy. I wish i brought my camera to take photos, i didnt think to but oh well. The thing was done at 3. I wanted to talk to Leo a bit to see when and where he was filming this week in tech aka tWit.

Walked on over to the show floor again and i see a rushing dude, and it was friggin Patrick Norton. Another yet again nerd stuck moment. Just saw him, walked by and left. Pretty much it. Then day 2, i dont see anything of interest but i do wanna see Chris Parillo talk... He was on techtv for awhile when he was hosting Call for Help. I wanna see what he has to say...

Yes i know, i am a total nerd but what can i do??

You are watching MADTV.....

Last last Friday.. October 28th, 2005

Friday... Hurray... The highlight of the day I was hoping will be the MadTV taping...

The morning wasn't fill with anything interesting. My older brother is back in town from Santa Cruz. Bummed it all morning until around 2ish. My class was leaving at 3. My Cinema professor is friends with the Mad TV Talent casting director. I was game to go with, since it was some sort of VIP access.

However I had to get a book at the bookstore for my history class. I've been putting it off for awhile and been doing decent without it, however I've been a lazy ass to go to the library and finish work. I was pretty much ready to go but the plumber came to fix my sink. First it was leaking, then the temperatures were switch, and then the sink seemed clogged.

After that was done being fixed, headed off to the school. Bookstore was still open however they didn't have any more used book and the new book was too expensive. Oh well...

Headed off to meet with the class. It was 3:03 and looks like im the last one there. There was about 9 of us. Exciting!

The drive there was boring.. No one was really talking and I wasn't feeling my outgoing self since I was feeling under the weather. I did learn a new route to Hollywood. We were averaging about 60 to 70 miles per hour and got into LA in 40 mins. Next time imma take the 210 to 134 to 5. I usually drive 80, so ill be there in 20 mins. Haha.

The way we took gave me a new way to get to the Greek Theatre. I've been to so many concerts there but man only distinct experiences stick out in my mind and not really privy to it. Sucks.

I love going a different route to places around Hollywood. I always see the same things because I take the same routes.

Made it to the Hollywood Center Studios. Parked it up in the D Lot and walked to the studios. I love being in studio back lots. I feel like a kid in a candy store. You don't know what shows are being filmed, what big names are walking around. I just love it. I would take the backlot tour at Universal Studios nonstop if I could. I mean I could but people I am with might not like it.

We head to studio 8 which is the Mad Tv filming studio. Pretty much just hang out. We were led in and saw a little of the rehearsals. I see a Wheel of Fortune set and I noticed someone that looks like Pamela Anderson. Dude it was her. I was like wow, she's pretty hott in person. However we had to leave because it was a close rehearsals.

Headed off outside, and just chilled out. I get on the phone to talk to Ben about some business. Couple events were coming up and we had to set some stuff up.

I noticed a guy that looks familiar. I used to be a Jimmy Kimmel show whore, attending and always watching. Im going to attend again next week to see Dane Cook. Whoop whoop!

Anyways.. He's the germen dude that wears glasses and always seems to be in a tank top and shorts.

Other people we saw were Frank Caliendo, Daniele Gaither. The class took pictures with them however again, not really big on pictures with celebs. Just not a thing. Im sure it came off as me being some snotty dude.

Pam came out and looks like she went to her dressing room. One of the PA told us we shouldn't even try to ask to take a pic because she feels all awkward. Oh well..

I just walked around and tried to take in the lot. I honestly just love back lots. So much action, celebs, Hollywood business goes on.

Professor Hill's friend came out to chatter with us. I totally can't recall her name, Kim comes to mind. She's the Talent director, who books the celebs and im thinking the musical acts too. Chatting up some stuff about that, she was really really mellow. I learned a few things but knew of what she told us. Then we got led back in..

At this point audience members were getting seated. Anyways. Ill give the cliff notes.. Don't rea
