Ne-Yo is Gay...
Disclaimer : - The story seems to be true however do not take this story for what it is. I have contacted Essence magazine to confirm the interview/story. Until they get back to me, I will leave this story as a maybe.
It looks like Ne-Yo pulled a Lance Bass and came out of the closet. I find it surprising that his record label tried to pay him off not to reveal his sexuality but I guess thats business. I believe his cd is still pretty good and he writes awesome songs. If he does come out with another video, my question is, will he still use chicks as the object of his affection? ;) Details below..
The newly famed singer/songwriter has come out of the closet and announced that he is gay. The multi-platinum recording artist sat down for the October issue of Essence Magazine last week and announced the shocking news stating, "Yes, I am in fact gay, and I have always been." After several internet rumors have been circulating around the internet. He also said, "You know this world we live in is full of judgement, resulting in one of the reasons why it took me so long to come out." Earlier this month, a man by the name of Derrick Johnson claimed that he had an intimate relationship with the singer during there teen years in high school. He also said that for months the singer and Def Jam has been trying to pay him to keep quiet over the ordeal. Ne-yo responds saying, that the relationship did occur and he is no longer ashamed of saying that he was deeply in love. Reciting "That situation was what inspired me to write the song "Unfaithful". But no one knew it was actually about myself, and our relationship." He told Essence that he doesn't care anymore, he was tired of living a lie and is ready to come clean. Quoting, "the music industry can either except me for who I am, or desert me." The full interview with the magazine is expected to hit stands mid-October.

what about those pics that were released last week with his dancer though.also,he has a kid too.don't know whether to believe this story.if he is though much respect to him for coming out and saying it.the urban music scene needs somebody who is successful and openly gay.

I wouldent never known.I listen to his music everday, i love his songs.I guess everthing has to come iut one day.This doesnt change they way i feel about him tho.Im still gone support him and come to his concert.Hey i love ne-yo lol!I cant wait till his concert hits the dte energy center...best belive Im there!

Sounds like a fake story to me. Wish it were true, but there is no official confirmation, which indicates it's not true.

I dont think it should matter if he is or if he isnt ... its his life and sexuality isnt a choice for us it is predetermind before anyone even knows about our existence, No one can tell any one who they should / shouldnt love... Love is its own language and no man or women has yet to figure out how to speak it so we should not judge but imbrass that which we dont fully understand. Ne-Yo i wish the best for you and i dont care what your sexual prefrence is... your music is full of love and emotion, devotion and soul , so dont let them bring you down

i think it took a lot of guts for him to come out because it might effect his carrer record sale and every thing
